Board members are
sought to play a key role in securing Trowbridge’s historic Town Hall through
the Community Asset Transfer process, to create a beacon professional arts
centre for the Trowbridge Community Area and the wider region.
Funding for initial
feasibility work has already been secured from Trowbridge’s Area Board and
Community Area Partnership and further commitment of Wiltshire Council for the
project is expected to be confirmed following
the Council’s Assets Committee meeting on 21 March 2012 . We need the
right people to help guide this multi million pound project forward. We need
people with skills in areas such as heritage, the arts, finance, fundraising,
marketing, project management, business planning, employment law, architecture,
consultation, education, catering, the Trowbridge community and advocacy. This
is a voluntary unpaid position.
There will be an
opportunity to visit the Town Hall for prospective board members.
