This event is aimed at artists and arts organisations who wish to find out from world class speakers about art and design in the public realm (otherwise known as Public Art), its complexities and its role in the community. It is a chance to also to familiarise with current thinking around art and design in the public realm, hear about good case studies and get an update of how Wiltshire are implementing policies relating to art and design. The programme will include a substantial question and answer session from the floor to the panel.
Please register your interest in this event by emailingarts@wiltshire.gov.uk and we will send you further details in the near future.You will hear from and be inspired by great speakers including independent curator and public art consultant Jeni Walwin and artists Steve Geliot and Neville Gabie. Diana Hatton, a freelance public art commissioner and co-ordinator of visual arts at the Pound Arts Centre and I will talk more generally about art and design in the public realm and what’s happening in Wiltshire.
