Wiltshire Council Arts Project Grant Scheme

Wiltshire Council Arts Service is inviting applications to the Arts Project Grant Scheme for creative projects that benefit the communities of Wiltshire and support the vibrant creative sector. Arts projects can cover a wide range of creative opportunities, including visual arts, crafts, media and digital forms, literature and performing arts. The scheme is open to all voluntary and community organisations although not individuals.

The autumn deadline is Sunday 30th September 2012 for projects that will take place between November 2012 and October 2013. The maximum amount that can be applied for per application is £4,000 and we encourage applications with strong partnership funding and support.

The arts project grant scheme has funded some impressive community arts projects including; ‘When You Go Away’ a project that invited hundreds of school children from military families to make a clay figure of a loved one who was serving overseas. Over 1600 clay figures were exhibited together at the Young Gallery in Salisbury Library. Recent awards have been made to Two Destination Language to deliver ‘FLINT’ a two day interdisciplinary microfestival of contemporary work in Salisbury and Corsham, and to Bodyjack to deliver ‘Nascent’ a project exploring dance creation and sharing in the west of Wiltshire.

Please visit www.wiltshire.gov.uk/artsprojectgrants to download the application form, criteria and guidelines for the grant scheme.  The arts service officers are available to discuss your application ideas, if you would like to talk to an office then please get in touch no later than two weeks before the deadline. You can reach the arts team at arts@wiltshire.gov.uk or call 01249 705531.
